Their production, and above all their use, are the source of pollutants found in water: these are known as micropollutants.\n<\/span><br ><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Present in very small quantities, some substances are nevertheless qualified as endocrine disruptors and are considered responsible for the disappearance of an aquatic specie every ten years.\n<\/span><br ><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their very high number (more than 200,000 molecules), as well as their presence in infinitesimal quantities in water, makes their detection complex.\n<\/span><br ><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physico-chemical analyses show their limits to identify their presence: punctual sampling, long analysis times, limitation of the number of targeted molecules, high costs...<\/span><br ><span  style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Biomonitoring appears to be the best way to provide a rapid, reliable, global and continuous response to the detection of undesirable effects linked to the presence of micropollutants.<\/span><br ><br >&nbsp;<\/p><\/div> <\/div> <div  class=\"row center-xs middle-xs\"> <div  class=\"col-sm-9\" data-type=\"column\"> <\/div> <\/div><\/div> <\/div><div  id=\"content-8\" class=\"content-8 content-section content-section-spacing\" style=\"background-color: #f5fafd;\" data-label=\"Content\" data-id=\"content--8\" data-export-id=\"content-8\" data-category=\"content\">\n<div  class=\"gridContainer\">\n<div  class=\"row middle-sm\">\n<div  class=\"col-sm-6 space-bottom-xs space-top-xs\" data-type=\"column\"><img decoding=\"async\"  class=\"shadow-large\" title=\"Photo ToxMate 1 redim\" src=\"https:\/\/www.toxmate.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Photo-ToxMate-1-redim.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div>\n<div  class=\"col-sm-6\" data-type=\"column\">\n<h2  class=\"\">ToxMate: the real-time micropollutant biodetection station&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p  class=\"\"><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ToxMate measures the real-time impact of the presence of chemical pollutants on living organisms.  Unlike trout or minnows, the three species of aquatic invertebrates present in the station (gammarids, radix and leeches) react to a wide variety of toxic substances and constitute reliable and efficient bio-indicators of the level of water pollution. The tests carried out on site have demonstrated the sensitivity of ToxMate to cocktail and recombination effects, where physico-chemical sensors only target a small part of the molecules present in
