These chemical treatments can be found&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the natural environment that can cause significant damage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p  class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" >Concerned about the environmental impact and aware of the need to comply with French and European regulations on the discharge of industrial water, TIL's teams wanted to invest in the development of a solution that would allow them to :<\/span><\/p><p  class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" >- to understand the efficiency of the treatment of its WWTP and to improve the management of the plant;<\/span><br ><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" >- to better characterize the effluents discharged into the natural environment and better preserve it;<\/span><br ><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" >- to transform the regulatory constraint into an opportunity for environmental quality certification.<\/span><\/p><p  class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\" >In order to create a procedure for diverting water discharged into the natural environment into buffer basins, it was necessary to find a tool capable of detecting pollution peaks in real time. For this purpose, TIL's teams requested the services of ViewPoint, Biosurveillance de l'Eau.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div><div  id=\"content-3\" class=\"content-7 content-section content-section-spacing\" style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\" data-label=\"Content\" data-id=\"content--3\" data-export-id=\"content-7\" data-category=\"content\">\r\n<div  class=\"gridContainer\">\r\n<div  class=\"row middle-sm\">\r\n<div  class=\"col-sm-6 space-bottom-xs\" data-type=\"column\">\r\n<h2  class=\"\"><span  style=\"font-weight: 700;\">ViewPoint's answer to Water Biomonitoring<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p  class=\"\"><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A ToxMate biomonitoring station has been installed at the treatment outlet of the WWTP in order to improve the&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">management of the wastewater treatment plant and&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reduce the environmental impact.<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nViewPoint has developed a new&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">approach with ToxMate, its<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nbiomonitoring capable of detecting the&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">presence of micropollutants in time<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nreal.<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nThis technology, co-developed with the&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ecotoxicology laboratory of INRAE<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nLyon, drifts continuously a part of the&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">treated water to put it in contact with<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nwith three species of invertebrates&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that naturally populate<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nEuropean rivers. Their&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">locomotor behavior is analyzed<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\nin real time by software of&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">image processing and allows to warn<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\ninstantaneously the managers of the&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">water in case of an abnormal event of<\/span>\r\n<span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\ndegradation of water quality, by&nbsp;<\/span><span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">presence of work<\/span>, <span  style=\"font-weight: 600;\">the director of TIL will present to the Prefecture a documented file showing that the 70 % of water discharged into the natural environment are controlled in real time by the ToxMate station<\/span>. <span  style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of detection of the presence of pollutants, a corrective action is implemented in a very short time.<\/span><\/p><p  class=\"\"><span  style=\"font-weight: 600;\">Thanks to this voluntary approach to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment, TIL will obtain a derogation
